Q: Who is supposed to buy a ticket?  Is this event for parents?  Students?
A: This event is for everyone! Band students, parents, family members, neighbors, community members…
Q: Does my band student need to sell tickets before they can pick them up from Mr.  Dochnal?
A: No.  They can check tickets out from Mr. Dochnahl and they’ll need to return either the tickets or payment.
Q: But isn’t this just for the jazz bands?
A: No! This is a fundraiser for the band program as a whole and all band students. The Jazz Bands will be performing live music at the event.
Q: But I don’t know how to swing dance.
A: There will be dance “helpers” there to share their skills
Q: I’d love to go but my partner/husband doesn’t dance.
A: There will be lots of people there to dance with if you want to dance!

Q: Will there be food or drinks at the event?

A: There will be non-alcoholic drinks and food for purchase at the event

Q: Which student are you supporting with your ticket?

A: 100% of the proceeds from each pre-sold ticket goes directly to a band student’s account to offset travel costs on amazing trips like New Orleans this year.  Just let us know which band student you are supporting with your ticket purchase.

Q: Venmo is asking me for the last 4 digits of the Hellgate Band Parents phone number. What do I do?

A: You can either skip this step or you can enter 3405 to verify that you have the correct account.

Q: Are donations tax deductible?

A:Yes! Our tax id is 81-0440087

Q: How can I pay for tickets and items at the auction event on May 7?

A: We’ll be accepting cash, check (made out to Hellgate Bands), and Venmo
